1. Herbal Shampoo

Things use need

  • 2 cups distilled or spring water
  • 10-12 tbsp dried herbs (sage, lavender, rosemary, peppermint, etc.)
  • ½ cup liquid castile soap
  • 10 to 15 drops any essential oil
  • 1 tsp jojoba oil

Method of preparation

  • Boil the distilled water and keep it undisturbed for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Add the dried herbs to a cup of boiling water. Cover the cup and let it set for 30 minutes.
  • Strain the liquid into a mixing bowl.
  • To this add the castile soap, essential oil, and jojoba oil.
  • Mix them all together vigorously and store them in a shampoo bottle. Shake well before each use.

The goodness of dried herbs will help to stimulate hair roots and promote hair growth. This mild shampoo can be used as often as you prefer without any caution.

2. Aloe vera Shampoo

Things use need

  • ¼ cup distilled water
  • ¼ cup liquid castile soap of any scent
  • ¼ cup aloe vera gel (freshly scooped from the plant)
  • ¼ tsp jojoba or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp glycerine

Mix in all the ingredients into the bottle you are going to store the shampoo in and give it a good shake. Remember to do this each time before use.

You may need to grind the gel quickly in a blender if it is too coarse to blend in.

Aloe vera gel, avocado oil, and glycerine are all rich in moisturization. Your hair and scalp will receive the conditioning they require from this easy to prepare DIY mild shampoo. Use the shampoo on damp hair and allow it to set for 3 to 5 minutes before you rinse.

3. Apple Cider Shampoo

Things use need

  • ¼ cup distilled water
  • ¼ cup liquid castile soap
  • ½ tsp grapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp apple juice
  • 6 finely ground cloves

Method of preparation

  • Blend all the ingredients together on low pulse for half a minute.
  • Add them into the shampoo bottle, shake vigorously.

This DIY mild shampoo is an excellent choice to keep dandruff at bay and get rid of flaky scalp. Apple juice and apple cider vinegar are active ingredients that fight against dandruff and fungal infections and restore the pH balance in the scalp.
